Inventory of the potential roosts of the greater mouse-eared and bent-winged bat

As part of the Gorička krajina project, an examination of buildings that represent potencial roosts for two Natura 2000 species - the greater mouse-eared and bent-winged bat - was carried out in June 2018. Bat expert Primož Presetnik from CKFF examined 24 buildings, among which he found traces of bats in eight. Five of them were sacral buildings, indicating the importance of these buildings for bats. Among the already known roosts are the Grad Castle, where bats are present all year round, and several churches within the Natura 2000 site Goričko. The most important bat roosts are the church in Kobilje and in the church in Grad. Report here (in slovenian language).
