LIFE FOR SEEDS: Gospodar travnika educational board game reaches primary schools in Goričko Nature Park and beyond

As part of the LIFE FOR SEEDS project, we have donated copies of the educational board game Gospodar travnika to primary schools in Goričko Nature Park and to several schools outside the park with which we have collaborated on various educational activities.
We distributed almost 60 copies of the game to 12 primary schools and four branch schools within Goričko Nature Park. In addition, we donated more than 40 copies to 13 primary schools outside the park and one secondary school specialising in agriculture and related fields. We have previously worked with some of these schools on various educational activities, including the Mysterious Resident of Goričko competition, a literary competition and the Nature and People Quiz.
Through the game, students can learn about meadow plants and animals, biodiversity and the importance of meadows for nature and people in a fun and engaging way. They will also discover how different land management practices affect meadow ecosystems and why it is so important to conserve species-rich meadows.
The educational board game Gospodar travnika was developed as part of the LIFE20 NAT/SI/000253 – LIFE FOR SEEDS project, co-funded by the European Union’s LIFE Programme. We worked with VALUE ADD GAMES on the game’s graphic design and printing.
We hope the game will find a place in classrooms and in extended school activities, giving students the opportunity to learn about meadows in a different way – through play, exploration and fun.
